2016 Undergraduate Research Colloquium and Slam

2016 Undergraduate Research Colloquium and Slam

The Office of Undergraduate Education is now accepting entries for the 2016 Undergraduate Research Colloquium and Slam!

These events are wonderful opportunities for students to develop research and presentation skills necessary for professional careers and graduate school.

We invite UCSB undergraduate students to present their research or creative activities at the 2016 Undergraduate Research Colloquium. Held annually, this poster exhibition recognizes the scholarly achievements of undergraduates and offers an opportunity to share their hard work with the campus and community members.

Any enrolled UCSB undergraduate student may apply to participate in the Colloquium. Work presented may be completed or ongoing projects from the 2015-2016 academic year. The Colloquium entry form closes on April 1, 2016, at 11:59 P.M.

The Undergraduate Research Slam offers students the chance to give dynamic, 3-minute oral presentations of their research or creative activity to a panel of judges. All UCSB undergraduates participating in the Undergraduate Research Colloquium are eligible. The top 3 students will earn research awards ranging from $1500-$2500. The Slam entry form closes on March 18, 2016, at 11:59 P.M.

The Undergraduate Research Slam is split into two rounds: Round one (50 students) will take place on round on May 17. To help students prepare for the Slam, the Office of Undergraduate Education will be hosting 2 free workshops (4 sessions total). Please visit our website for more information.
