Instructor Information

Honors contracts must be supervised by a course's instructor of record who must be a member of the Academic Senate. This includes instructors who hold the following titles: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer with Security of Employment, Lecturer with Security of Employment, or Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment.

Instructors with the following titles are not Academic Senate members: Visiting Professor, or Continuing Lecturer. If the instructor is not a member of the Academic Senate, the dean will review the contract proposal to determine if it meets our academic standards and we'll notify you of the decision. Teaching Assistants and Teaching Associates may never supervise honors contracts. Most instructor titles may be found in the online catalog, on their department's Faculty page.
