Transfer Student Center

Construction is underway on this new center for transfer students, to be completed by the start of Spring Quarter 2016!  For information on the mission and services of the Transfer Student Center, to be housed in the UCSB Library, see the Transfer Student Center website.

Transfer Summer Start Program (TSSP)

This Summer bridge program, extending summer programming to new transfer students in a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) focused majors to help prepare them for success at UCSB, is expanding into new majors and departments in Summer 2016!  See the TSSP page for details.

UCSB receives $2.6M grant under the Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program

UC Santa Barbara has been selected to receive a $2.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education.  Under the Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program, this five year grant will help develop new programs to expand educational opportunities available to students.

About Us

The Office of Undergraduate Education's mission is to foster student success and educational excellence at UC Santa Barbara.  Our experienced staff members provide students with assistance regarding academic planning, but they also connect students to a wide variety of services across the campus.  The office also houses a number of academic programs that add value to a student's UCSB education, including UCDC, the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Program, the Freshman Seminar Program, and the College of Letters and Science Honors Program.
