Transfer Student Advising

Join QLess for Drop-in Transfer Advising HERE!

During our Advising Hours

Use QLess to be called back the same day or schedule an advising appointment with a College of Letters and Science Transfer Student Advisor using the shoreline link below. Transfer Students are considered students who have transferred to UCSB from a previous institution. Incoming transfer students with questions regarding their fall schedule are encouraged to attend a Transfer Orientation session before scheduling an appointment with the College of Letters and Science Transfer Advisors. If you cannot participate in a Transfer Student Orientation session or are attending summer school, please schedule an appointment or join the Transfer Student Advising call-back queue. Students interested in transferring to UCSB should speak with the UCSB admissions office. It is recommended that UCSB students interested in transferring to another institution talk to the admissions office at the school they are looking to transfer to.

To speak with a Transfer Student Advisor the same day, join the Transfer Student Advising Call Back Queue. Once you get in line using QLess, you will receive texts updating you on how long you can expect to wait. An advisor will call you when you get to the front of the line. If you would like to meet in person or via Zoom, you can arrange that with an advisor if they are available. If QLESS tells you the location is closed during our advising hours, we have reached the maximum number of students QLess predicted we could meet with during that shift. Sometimes we get through the list faster than QLess expected, so please try again later in the day or the next day.

Schedule a Transfer Student Advising Appointment using one of the shoreline links below for a College of Letters and Science Transfer Advisor. We like to reserve appointments for relatively complicated issues. You can click here to see why you might schedule an appointment. Appointments cannot be scheduled for the same or next day and may not be scheduled more than two weeks in advance. You can state your preference for an in-person, phone, or zoom appointment. Appointments fill quickly, so if no appointments are available, please get in the Transfer Student Advising Call Back queue. Transfer Student Advisors can also be reached via email at transferadvising@ltsc.ucsb.edu.
